A Quick Tour of Kit Homes in Highland Park. A Historic Preservation Commissioner in Highland Park, was kind enough to give me a quick tour of the catalog kit houses in her town. Lisa herself lives in a John Van Bergen house, and she has a wealth of knowledge about many residences in Highland Park. About that same time, some homes were being built just outside the Dayton city limits on a new street named Avalon Ave. And apparently, one family decided to build a Sears Avalon. A Sears Avalon at 2244 Avalon Ave.
The catalog mail order homes of Oklahoma 1908-1940. A Popular California Bungalow Pattern Used By Sears Modern Homes and Many Others. If you are a Sears homes enthusiast you will recognize this house. This Spanish colonial bungalow was built in 1906 at 1265 Leighton Ave, Los Angeles California.
